I finished this work about the time that the volcano erupted in Iceland. And the title just came to me as I was painting. I also have a fascination with Iceland and islands.

This painting was sold shortly after I completed it, to a woman who had just lost 2 close family members. When she saw it, tears came to her eyes, and she said that it comforted her.

I have always been interested in Angels, (feel that I have met some), but I see them as a lot different than the pretty, pretty ones often depicted. I see strength, protection and other dimensions involved.
